Miyazaki Minamisayaka Oolong 2024 - 50g

Oolong from the mountainous region of Miyazaki Prefecture, where they are mainly dedicated to the production of Kamairicha green tea.

The leaves from the Minami-Sayaka cultivar, which was bred in this area, were used for production. The origin of this cultivar is the tea tree native to the Assam region. The producer of this tea exclusively makes small production batches of up to 10kg. The batch is split between a few sources around the world, so always a very limited quantity.

The tea has a nicely crafted leaf see photos. It releases its flavours very quickly, unlike oolognes in bead form.

The aroma of the dry leaf is sweet and creamy, combining the scent of flowers, grasses and a hint of fruit.

The infusion is medium-bodied, very easy to drink, clean and refreshing. The flavour combines fruity and floral notes, creamy/creamy notes as we know in a good Jin Xuan. The aftertaste is sweet and refreshing.

A nice Japanese oolong that is also great for cold brew.

Brewing:

Gongfu - 150ml, 6g, 98C, 60s, second infusion 50s, then lengthen according to personal preference

Western - 150ml, 3g, 98C, 5 minutes. Tea will dispense almost anything, additional infusion can be prepared.

Cold Brew - 10g, 750ml, 2h in the fridge, possibly longer according to personal taste preferences.
