Da Hei Shan Ruan Zhi

.

Oolong originating from Myanmar, Da Hei Shan mountain. This is a winter harvest from December 2023 and the tea was harvested from the Ruan Zhi cultivar, from an altitude of 1650 m above sea level.

This cultivar was originally developed in Taiwan and the name there is the familiar Chin Xin. The foliage is harvested from thirty-year-old tea trees.

Just the smell of the dry leaf suggests that it will be a nice experience. The fresh scent of mountain flowers with cream.

I often prefer more oxidized oolongs, some high mountain oolongs with around 15% oxidation are too mild for me. However, this tea has a lovely full body and intense flavour that you don't need to look for, it will spread in your mouth :).

Flavour of alpine flowers, light fruitiness, sweet, full and clean taste. Although it is an oolong from Myanmar, it is worked on by Taiwanese masters and stands out from the crowd with its quality. For me, again after a long time, a very drinkable, slightly oxidised, high mountain oolong. I can recommend it!
