Fermented heicha from the Gaoma Erxi (Hunan - Anhua) region with golden flowers from 2023. The tea was produced by Hunan Gaomaerxi Ing. Co. Ltd.

Gaoma Erxi has a long history of tea production. In the 24th year of the Ming Hongwu Dynasty (1391), Gaoma Erxi tea was designated as a tribute tea. During the Qing Dynasty and the Jiaqing period, the first thousand taels of Anhua tea were produced in Bianjiang Village from Gaoma Erxi raw materials. The Royal Tea Garden is located in Gaoma Erxi.

The dry leaf smells slightly herbal with a hint of exotic woods and a slight trace of smokiness in the background.

The flavour of the tea is full-bodied and fresh, combining dried herbs, floral aromas, a mix of spices and noble woods, golden blossom and a very intense and fresh, high mountain mouthfeel. A very pleasant tea if you have tasted Gaoma Erxi Jin Hua 2021, this one is younger and slightly livelier with a stronger press.

Brewing: 100ml, 5-6g, 90-95C. Quick rinse, first infusion 20-30s, subsequent infusions pour within 10s. In case of weakening of taste, start to increase the time of leaching.
